Default Perpetual Gladiator's Defense Build

I figured I'd add my successful setup to help kick off the new farming forum so here goes. The build is based around the use of the new Factions shout On Your Knees to keep Gladiators Defense up endlessly, build is as follows:

1.On Your Knees (key to the build, recharges all stances if any enemies are knocked down, for that you use Whirlwind)
2.Whirlwind (knockdown attacking foes, follow up with On your Knees to keep Gladiator's Defense going)
3.Defensive Stance (use this while gathering enemies on you)
4.Gladiator's Defense (the killing skill of the build)
5.Sprint (get to wherever you are planning to farm)
6.Heal Sig (self heal of course)
7.Bonetti's Defense (after several waves of Whirlwind and Glad's Defense your energy can get low, use to refill)
8.Dolyak Sig (minimize damage of any hits that get through your Stances)

Attributes:
12+3+1 Tactics
12+1 Strength
3 Air

I recommend a Zealous sword or axe of Shelter and a -2 stance shield with + life in stance or always and Gladiators Armor.

This build is very effective on any melee mobs, currently I have had great success killing trolls with this setup, but it could be used on any melee enemies. Enjoy

That's a rather fiendish combination, kudos for taking the initiative!
I'll give this a try when I get this coursework done..

cheers, i discovered this same thing a couple of days ago, but was using hammers...and using counter blow and "on your knees"

guess this is a little less complicated, but whirlwind is a good pick

if i were you, id throw out defensive stance, and use riposte for some extra damage, especially when farming bosses, the extra 76(ish) damage really helps counteract the natural boss regen.

EDIT: i went wammo and used watchful spirit, and when gathering aggro, instead of wasting a skill, use your damage dealer, just open up with glads...and complete the cycle

I would think that renewing is a better choice, since it allows you to choose any secondary you wish (ie Ranger for EoE).

Nice - I bought the skill as it sounded rather tasty, this is how to implement it.
(cannot use cyclone axe if using a hammer)

Good stuff.
(Will change to ele in a bit)

I hear you. I had posted the use of "On Your Knees" to keep Glads running some time ago in a thread about Farming Trolls with Axes. I still like to use the hammer for the KDs to fuel "OYK".

Either way Kudos for finding the usefulness of this skill. As soon as I brought my warrior over to Cantha and saw this skill I started using this combo for Melee intensive areas (that was three days after Factions was released). Though must give you props for using Air for the knockdowns. I had never even though of using those.

With the use of Air you can use swords or what ever weapon you would like to use for added damage. Kudos.
